TITLE: HIGH FREQUENCE THERAPY WITH MMP SURFING TECHNIC, LOW FREQUENCE
THERAPY AND ELECTRO ACUPUNCTURE
AUTHOR(S): Dr. Mitsuharu Tsuchlya(Md.)
ABSTRACT:
Introduction: The A.P.A.E. -Associação Portuguesa de Acupuncture
El?trica - Group M?co(P.A.E.A. - Protuguese Association of Electric
Acupuncture - Medical Group) in association with the Portuguese
Japanese Medicine Clinic - Pain Department introduced and have been
using the last 25 years the high frequence therapy and MMP surfing
technic to block the nervous points and the low frequence therapy
on trigger points to relieve ad suppress pain, without the use of
any drugs, such as xylocain, carbocain or alcohol, and no need of
a very long period of treatment.
Method: The author proposes to present the therapy
employed.
Results: During the 25 years of investigation we
have noticed that the MMP surfing method and electroacupuncture
is very efficient in pain relieving. The technic is nowadays very
often used by Sports Medicine Doctors for the fast recovery of lesions
and pain treatment of football players and Olympic athletes as it
is an instantaneous way to suppress pain and obtain good results.
This method is also very efficient to treat backache, stiff shoulder,
stiff neck, tendinitis, carpal canal, trigeminal neuralgia, sprain,
gonarthritis, tennis elbow, etc.
We also found the efficiency of the saw shape wave of high frequence
between ¡¾150 and 250 Hz / 0.40 m/s (varying from person to person).
Discussion: The high frequence saw shape wave and
low frequence therapy on trigger points may relieve and suppress
the pain.
Conclusion: We are still investigating the biochemical
mechanism, but we are convinced in this case that it is not the
liberation of endorfin, or serotonin, or corticoids that help to
relieve the pain but maybe the liberation of adrenaline. We are
still studying the relation between electric acupuncture and the
production of adrenaline.
